Delegate Responsibility Agreement

The Hispanic International Mission (HIM) is a non-profit- organization founded in 2013, [501 (c) (3)]. An individual’s participation in this delegation is accepted by HIM, only in accordance with the following statements of conditions and responsibilities:

• HIM reserves the right to decline, accept, or retain any person as a program participant. ALL delegates are responsible for their own recurring medical condition(s) and treatment(s) without  supervision. All medications, injections, or other treatments must be monitored and administered by the individual. The individual delegate is  responsible for his/her own special dietary needs.
• HIM, along with the destination country’s coordinator, acts only as an agent in securing hotels, transportation, sightseeing, and home stay. In no event should HIM be held liable for any failure. All hotel, transportation, sightseeing, and travel services are provided to the program’s participants, subject to the terms and conditions of the country they are visiting on this mission.
• HIM shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to any person or property resulting from government actions in the country they are visiting. Restraints, disturbances, hostilities, war, epidemic, quarantines, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, weather conditions, natural disasters, delays, accidents, injury or death, annoyance, inconvenience, or any other cause is beyond the control of HIM.
• HIM shall not be held liable for any additional expenses incurred by the program’s participants as a result of any of the for going causes. HIM shall not be responsible in any way for the loss of or damage to the participant’s luggage, baggage, or personal belongings. HIM cannot be held responsible for changes, substitutions, or alternative arrangements that may become necessary depending on the situation. In case this occurs, alternative arrangements or substitute programs will be arranged wherever possible.

Authorization and full consent is hereby given to HIM’s representative to secure prompt medical care and attention, on behalf of the program’s participant in the case illness or accident. The risk of injury from activities involved in the program exists. HIM shall be relieved of all liability to the program’s participant.
